Question:
Ive been taking birth control everyday and never miss a pill. Is it possible to still get pregnant? I just had a leep procedure done a few days ago and began to feel as though I have pregnancy symptoms. I took a home and its positive. Could having this procedure cause birth defects or ? Can't get into doctor for another week.
Answer:Hi! What did you have LEEP done for? As far as I know, LEEP is not performed during pregnancy because of the possible damage and tissue done to the cervix. Besides, I know that leep may cause premature births in pregnancies.
I have leep done for treating cervical and I was told not to think about pregnancy for at least another 5-6 months. First it takes more than a month for the cervix to heal. Four months is needed to assess if Leep was successful and if all precancerous cells were removed. It is said that it is harder to treat cervical dysplasya during pregnancy. I actually don’t think it is treated during pregnancy. It is safer to wait after because it takes quite some time for precancerous cells to turn in cancerous.
I don’t know if LEEP causes birth defects, I guess this is something you need to talk to your doc about and according to your specific situation you may find a suitable solution. Let me know what the doctor said! I am really interested! I hope everything turns out right!
By the way, this is the first time I hear somebody got pregnant on BC pills. Supposedly, they are 99% safe.
Answer:I'm glad you explained the Leep procedure a little bit, because I'm suppost to be having it, but I'm also currently trying and could be pregnant. I was told by my doctor that if I were indeed pregnant, that I wouldn't have the leep done until after the pregnancy, however, he never informed me as to how long I would have to wait. I naturally assumed that it would only be a few weeks like the .
As far as getting pregnant while on , it is most definitly possible. Drug interations can negate the effects of the Birth control. Not only have I met several women that have gotten pregnant while on birth control, I myself have miscarried twice from pregnancies that occured while I was on birth control.
Answer:I have had one heck of a time trying to get to take care of my problem. I was supposed to get the LEEP procedure done about 7 or 8 months ago but my insurance wouldnt cover it. So then I applied for Blue Cross Blue shield to try and get the procedure done as soon as possible. As time passed by they still couldnt approve of my application and then i switched jobs and cant afford much. If anyone knows of a cheap insurance program or web site or anything of that matter please let me know. I am only 21 and have all sorts of tests done and the doctors have said that it could develop into and i am quite scared. It has now been 10 months since i was supposed to have the procedure done. so please help if anyone has information on what i should do. Thanks.
Answer:You are 21? GET to a planned parenthood or womens clinic =)
Planned Parenthoods often offer LEEP and other womens services for very low cost, even free.
Your local county department may be able to help too!
If you can give me an idea of what state you live in, I can help you find low cost !
Answer:Thanks that is an idea but i was on planned parenthood but when i went to the to do the procedure they had me ready to go in a gown and even hooked the machine up and then a came in and said that it wasnt covered through my insurance. So now its been forever and I still cant seem to get any where with it. I appreciate it. I live in Murrieta, California, Souther Cali. I just dont know where to even begin because I am so young and most commercials and ads are all older women. I have done a lot of research but cant seem to get anywhere.... Thank you so much
Answer:Also i dont mind paying up to 100 dollars for insurance a month but the insurance companies seem to take forever in putting the application through. It would be nice if i could get cheep insurance but i got to do what i got to do. I just need an insurance or something i can use to make it quick so i can take care of this problem asap. After i did my colposcop/ they said I have CIN III and that makes me nervous. I have done researching since day one and thought that blue cross blue shield would help but they took to long. I wont be able to get benefits where i am working until after 90 days but i dont want to wait that long. Thanks again
Answer:You are not going to find a private policy for less than 175$ a month about...

I think its just a build up or maybe a cyst. Its about the size of a quarter and it feels hard and i can only feel it when my side hurts like the vain is making it pulsate. hmmm i dont know i just need to go to the docs and find out what it is. Thanks for the info.

There should be an and prvention agency that works with local doctors in your area. even if u already know you have it u can still be treated for free by a good gyn. My gyn normally charges 500 just for examination without insurance but she treats me for free because I enrolled in this program. I don't have insurance either
